We are trying to collect 20,000 lbs of empty pop and beer cans to turn in for metal recycling. All money raised will help us build a new, custom wheelchair accessible home for our 2 sons Hunter and Cody. They were born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and have been using power wheelchairs since they were 2 years old. We bought an empty lot in Independence in March 2018. We have house plans made for a larger, more accommodating home for the boys. But because of it's size it will cost more. Right now, we can't afford the start building. If you'd be willing to help us, PLEASE START SAVING YOUR POP/BEER CANS!! Anytime you have several bags, you can contact us and we'll pick them up. Call 816-252-6372 or Email teachloresta@Hotmail.com or Like and Message our Facebook page called "Wheelchair Accessible Home for Hunter and Cody." We are collecting cans LONG TERM through 2018 and into 2019. We appreciate any and all help!! Please spread the word!
