Kitchen Thyme, is a kitchen accessories and gourmet food store located in the Briarcliff Village Shopping Center. Kitchen Thyme brings a stylish twist to everyone's favorite room in the house. Kitchen Thyme features a unique blend of kitchen accessories, top-of-the-line cookware, bakeware, gadgets, cookbooks, and gourmet food items.
Kitchen Thyme is dedicated to finding unique items made by local artisans or companies like City Strip, Wind & Willow, Forever Herbs, and Heartland Bakeware. We now feature Kansas City made Vita Craft Cookware! Made right here in Shawnee since 1939. For the first time in their history, Vita Craft, formerly sold only to customers in their homes, has placed their products in a few local gourmet stores. We are proud to be one of those stores! Come in to see why Vita Craft is the leading upper-end cookware in Japan.
It's here! The Olive Bar at Kitchen Thyme! Come in and sample our new selection of extra-virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Try before you buy these unique California grown and produced oils and vinegars. We offer flavored EVOOs such as, basil, garlic, and lemon. Also try our Italian Blend EVOO that is subtle and buttery with classic, but mild Tuscan flavors. We also offer an organic Mission & Manzanillo Blend with very little bitterness or pungency. Don't forget our balsamics vinegars in flavors such as, Blackberry and Raspberry.
Kitchen Thyme does not forget the kids! In our kids corner you will find cooking kits, aprons, cookbooks, dishes especially for the children in our lives.

Cooking Classes
Join our cooking classes! Every month we offer fun and informative cooking classes, including seasonal recipes, main dishes, great desserts, and more. Click on the "Events" tab at the top of the page to view our classes and happenings. Kitchen Thyme welcomes Karen Adler, one of KC's own Barbeque Queens. Check out our cooking classes to see when Karen's cooking classes will be offered.
Cancelation Policy: Kitchen Thyme requires a minimum number of people to hold a class and reserves the right to cancel a class if the number of people falls below the minimum. A full refund will be given if we cancel a class not "full".
Kitchen Thyme and our chefs require a large amount of preparation and purchasing before a class is held. For this reason no refund will be given if a student cancels and/or is a no-show to a scheduled class. We will gladly reschedule you to another class of your choice or you may send someone in your place if we are notified at least 24 hours in advance.
Weather Policy: Kitchen Thyme reserves the right to cancel a scheduled class if the weather conditions are considered unsafe. We will make every effort to contact you at least 2 hours prior to start time and will leave a message if we are not able to speak to you in person.
