Haught Style is as close to haute style as you'll find in Kansas City.
More than just a boutique, Haught Style offers personalized service and
one-of-a-kind pieces from designers unique to Kansas City. Conveniently
located in the Village, Haught Style brings a fresh and fun atmosphere
to the shopping scene.

Haught Style (named for Oxandale's maiden name, the boutique is pronounced 'hot') opened in October 2007, bringing a mix of dresses, pants and sweaters in a variety of designs and price points. Some designers, such as Rachel Mara and Tehya, are exclusive to Kansas City and carry exquisitely crafted garments. Other labels such and Max and Cleo and To The Max provide a great alternative that's easier on the wallet.

About the Owner:

Haught Style owner Laura Oxandale always dreamed of working in fashion,
and now she's made that dream a reality. After majoring in business at
University of Kansas and working in finance for three years and
following a strict dress code, Laura realized that there was a void in
the Kansas City shopping scene - a place where it was easy to find
stylish, grown-up clothing.

"Sexy has been a clothing focus for so long," says Laura, who named her
boutique after her maiden name, Haught. "I wanted to bring women a new
focus - classy."

Deciding to start a boutique with no fashion or boutique management
experience may sound risky, but for Laura it was a natural fit. She knew
exactly what she wanted her store to look like and what she wanted it to
say to women - there's a time and place for jeans and sweatshirts, but
today's modern woman needs sophisticated clothes to match her lifestyle.
Staying on top of trends while providing her customers with unique and
wearable clothing is essential, says Laura. "I guess all those years of
reading Vogue and InStyle have turned out to be good business sense!"

Cocktails & Couture:

Every other month, Haught Style will host exclusive after-hours events for VIP shoppers. The events will vary from month to month, including special designer trunk shows, first-look sales, and fundraisers for local charities.
