About H.M.S Beagle

H.M.S. Beagle is Kansas City’s Science Store. We are your source for everything scientific: Telescopes; Microscopes; Fossils and Minerals; Chemistry Sets, Chemicals and Glassware; Science Books and Toys; Rockets and Robotics; and much more!

Your visit to H.M.S. Beagle could include making your own perfume, learning more about model rockets, trying out a telescope or microscope, building your own custom-made chemistry set, or browsing through our large selection of science books for children and adults. Come meet Polly, our real dinosaur fossil!

Our Science Club for students meets monthly. Meetings focus on science topics ranging from dinosaurs to rockets to weather. Our adult science club, The Beagle Society, offers adults a unique opportunity with bi-monthly meetings and science workshops. Our monthly star parties are led by our staff astronomer. Look through our telescopes or bring your own.

You will always find a scientist to help you at H.M.S. Beagle. We offer a wide-range of resources for students, parents, teachers and home schoolers.
