Come visit Johnson County's first wine bar and Kansas City’s first and only “wine flights” bar.  As a true classic wine bar, A Wine Flights Bar and Bistro offers Kansas City’s & Johnson County’s largest selection of wine flights 80 plus (three, 2oz pours), wines by the taste (2oz) or glass (6oz) at 200 wines (and growing).

Definition: wine flight n. (pl. wine flights) a trio of wine samplings intended to compare variations of wine within a specific region or particular grape from diverse regions; a mini wine tasting.

Stop in and grab a seat at our polished granite horseshoe shaped tasting bar and talk wine with your neighbors. We invite the new wine drinkers as well as the expert wine drinkers to expand their palate and share wine travel stories with friends. Our décor features a one of a kind, 1200 bottle glass wine cellar. Add palm trees, original  artwork, videos of the world’s great wine regions and 18 foot windows with a view of the outside fountain…you have the makings for great wine tastings.

Wine tasting is what we do, we encourage you to mix & match our wine flights according to your taste and meal. Our décor promotes comfort as you step in and smell the luxurious leather chairs or have your ears titillated by the clink of crystal stemware against 6000 lbs of polished granite. And, did we mention our delectable bistro style small plate menu featuring Maryland Style Crab Cakes, Grilled Halibut topped with a chipotle white sauce, Tenderloin Steak covered with Sangiovese sautéed Portobello mushrooms or Chicken Di’Avola Panini, and our delicious desserts paired with Vintage Ports.

Get in before close and stay late…no need to rush home.  Our bistro style small plates menu is served open to close.  Reservations suggested for parties of 5 or more.
