About Rockhill Artists Gallery
Welcome to the Rockhill Historic Neighborhood in the heart of the Kansas City and walking distance to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, Rockhill Tennis Club plus the Kansas City Art Institute and the summer Shakespeare Festival.
The Rockhill neighborhood is a vital urban community where neighbors walk their dogs and greet each other by name, where students rush to their classes, where young and old call it home and where artists, writers, professionals, singles and families chose to live.
Close by is the renown Plaza with its fabulous Spanish influenced fountains and sculptures and festive holiday lights. It boasts the best shopping and restaurants in Kansas City. Also nearby are the University of Missouri Kansas City, Rockhurst University, Stowers Institute, Kauffman Gardens and Kauffman Institute.
Rockhill Artists Gallery is comprised of five – 3 Story brick buildings built from the early 1920’s and completed in the 1930’s. Each building is similar in style and offers a bit of the past in the heart of the historic neighborhood. The Rockhill neighborhood has kept its distinct character through the years and in 2005 the Rockhill Neighborhood celebrated its 100th Anniversary.
