About the Priests of Pallas Ball
Kansas City's oldest and most unique masqued event is back from 7 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Oct. 26, in the Grand Ballroom at Union Station. An unforgettable evening awaits attendees, filled with the dazzling Cirque-artistry of Quixotic Performance Fusion, the fire and performance art of Vesuvius Tribe and much more. Proceeds benefit the Jackson County Historical Society and the Westport Historical Society.
This will be the third consecutive Priests of Pallas Ball in recent memory. In the history of the event, each year had a different theme and an Athena dedicated to the event. This year's theme is Asian exotica and the Athena will be Corrie Van Ausdale.
Attendees are encouraged to allow imagination to dictate proper attire from funky to formal. Contemporary and vintage formal wear, period costumes, Greek inspired attire, and inventive black-tie ensembles all enhance and complement the eye-popping decor and eclectic entertainment that has become the POP hallmark.
In keeping with the authenticity of Kansas City's original harvest festival,
masques are a necessary accessory. Masques are available at
KC Costume http://www.kccostume.com/located at 2020 Grand Blvd., and also will be available for purchase at the event for the convenience of guests.
