Our club is perfect for Private Parties, Corporate Groups and Special Events such as Benefits & Charity Events. We also provide out of house bookings. Stanford & Son’s provides food and bar service and will customize the entertainment for your event.
Stanfords was founded by Stanford Glazer in l975, in Westport, KC's entertainment district in those days. The club exploded onto the national scene in l981 when Craig Glazer met Robin Williams in LA and he agreed to work Stanfords for free to work on his act. Variety in Hollywood wrote about it and the rest is history.
Stanfords became one of the top name clubs in the nation with big names and up comers weekly from all over the nation like Rosanne, Louie Anderson, Sam Kennison, Tommy Chong, Ellen Degeneres, Jerry Seinfeld, Richard Lewis and many more. Recent stars include Pauly Shore, Damon Wayons, Lewis Black and Lisa Lampanelli. Any big name you have heard of has played the club over the last 30 years.
**STANFORD'S BARTENDING ACADEMY:
Join us HERE at STANFORD & SON'S COMEDY CLUB for our next BARTENDING CLASS:
You will have one (1) lecture class (appx 2 1/2 hours long) and then you will choose six (6) bar shifts...YES! Actual BAR SHIFTS!! You can choose from a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday night here at the club and you will learn to bartend from BEHIND-THE-BAR during an actual night HERE at Stanford & Son's Comedy Club! Not only will you learn how to make the "classic drinks" you will learn how to make all of the most current 'intoxicating' drinks! Plus you will find out, first hand, how it is to be behind the bar serving the public! Everything from making change for the customers, learing how to pour mixed drinks, shots, beer, wine to breaking down the bar at the end of the night!
You will graduate as a certified bartender that has "bartending experience"! We will also assist you with job placement!
