About Crown Center

This innovative urban entertainment center was the vision of Hallmark founder, Mr. Joyce C. Hall. Since its groundbreaking in 1968, the development of Crown Center has reversed years of decay in an area just ten blocks from Kansas City's downtown commercial district. The international headquarters of Hallmark Cards, Inc. is located within the 85-acre Crown Center complex.

Located adjacent to Crown Center, Science City is housed in the historic Union Station, and joined to Crown Center by The Link, a climate-controlled walkway. Science City is an innovative, hands-on science center for young kids and adults alike for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Located just west of Crown Center, the newly restored Liberty Memorial stands as a tribute to those who served in World War I. Visitors may ride an elevator to the top of the tower for a spectacular view of the Kansas City skyline.
